    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with the membership routes in Baltray. I know that there is a waiting list to get in and that generally speaking you need to know the right people etc. But if you are one of the lucky few how much is it to join? Also, does anyone know if they offer 5/6 Day membership and again how much is this option? Any info greatly received.

Seapoint is another course nearby but the joining fee (share option) is ridiculous money. I also see from the GUI website that Laytown & Bettystown offer 5 Day membership at €5000 joining fee. In terms of perference if all joining fees were equal I would perfer Baltray 1st, Seapoint 2nd and L&B 3rd.

I believe baltray will be taking new members soon enough heard that the lease of the land is running out and they need an injection of cash ( whether it's true or not) seapoint is 19k but you might find a member selling for less

Thanks for the reply, hopefully your right about Baltray taking in new members. I always assumed that the club owned the land but apparently not so, they have been in a dispute with the owner who wanted to raise the lease on the land and as you point out I understand that the landowner won the case to have the fee increased.
