Barcelona on the cheap!

    Me and a few friends are thinking of going to Barcelona for a weekend at the end of November or start of December. Basically im looking for suggestions for cheap hostels or hotels that are central and close to night life and a few things to do during the day.

    Any suggestions as to what we could do over the weekend too would be great.

    Hey just planning a trip there myself for next year. Found a few good deals on www.trav.com/Properties/Spain/Barcelona we are looking for apartments/cheap hotels but this site seems to have the lot hostels, B&Bs, Hotels & Apartments!
    Haven't been before so don't know about whats good to do!

    I would STRONGLY recommend this hostel. Was there only a month ago.

    It was one of the best hostels i've being to ever! They have a great common area which serves cheap beer and everyone congregates there in the evening so good place to meet people. Facilities are very good and location is right in the middle of Las Ramblas (main street in Barcelona).

    Ramaztazz is one of the biggest, most popular clubs in Barcelona. There are also a few clubs down by the beach (which is 5/10 min walk from the hostel above). Also check out the Black Sheep which is a great pub just off Las Ramblas in the middle.

    Go on a visit to Nou Camp. Well worth checking out even if there is no game on.

    Also check out the sex museum on Las Ramblas - bit of a laugh.
