Looking to buy the following gear:
    • Quad LNB for Sky Minidish
    • Combiner and splitter kit to get satellite and aerial onto one coax
Was quoted €140 for them in a B&M shop. Saw similar (not necessarily identical) gear on www.satellite.ie for much less money.

Question is: anyone got any recommendations for (a) where to get this stuff and (b) what to look out for?

Would that be a "no" then?

Where to get this stuff I cannot answer as its advertsing (the supplier sticky? ) and not sure what you mean by "what to look out for" ?

just to carry on from 1st post, I have single cable running from dish through attic to living room for Sky in wall of house. I am looking to upgrade to Sky+, If joined the 2 cables from dish in attic with combiner , have existing single cable running to living room, then use a spiltter in living room to have 2 cables connecting into Sky+ box. will this allow full dual functions on Sky+ box to work properly. ie watch and record at same time.

No you need two separate cables unless you want to use a stacker/de stacker which needs cery good quality cable because of the high freqs used.

Well I did go ahead and order from Satellite.ie at 2:40 yesterday. Stuff arrived this morning. Happy with price, couldn't have had better delivery. All I need to do is install the bloody stuff now! And wait for my upgrade card from Sky. Thanks Tony.
