Let's say tommorow the World decides that for now on a week is 10 days long and not seven. You have 3 extra days but one of those days becomes a weekend, so now you work 7 days a week and have a 3 day weekend. Would you like it that way? or would you prefer to have it as it is?

    I actually wouldn't mind a 10 day week

Yes. Purely to piss-up the bible-bashers.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

A 2 1/2 day week would be better - Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday and then back to Friday evening :D

I'd rather have the extra day off in the middle of the week.

I propose the names for the 3 new days to be:

    1) splatterday
    2) scumday
    3) snoozeday.

I will announce my proposition at the UN general assembly on Saturday (soon to be Splatterday)

Well in fairness you're really only working 1 more day as the day before the weekend will be like Friday, most people who work on Friday don't tend to notice the time go by and it's generally a silent work day, but i guess there's more to consider such as the fact that it would throw the world in to chaos for a few months until we can adjust

It would be an improvement on the current sytem, where you have to work 71.4% of the days in the week, you'd only have to work 70% of the days.

    7 day weeks are fine.

Well if we worked 7 days per week, and had 36.5 weeks in a year (10 days/week), there would be 255.5 working days.
On our current schedule with 5 work days per week and 52 weeks, we work 260 dys per year.

This, of course, assumes that one year will still be one revoloution around the sun. Also, the decimals will need to be worked out...it would be pretty easy though. There would be a leap year every other turn instead of every 4 - problem solved.
This also assumes that we still will work 8 hours per day. I can't image the big businesses allowing a 40 hour workweek spread over 7 days.
    It could totally work though.

I think while we are at it, we should adjust the actual length of out time measurement system, so there can be 100 seconds in a minute, 100 minutes in an hour, etc. We can't do much about how long it actually takes the earth to rotate, etc., but let's face it - 24 hours/7 days/52 weeks/365.24 days...it's all uneven as it is already!

Well, the cost of recoding damn near every piece of software in the world probably makes this a moot point.

We already have a proven method for wasting trillions of euros: war.

People like me need jobs... so I'm all for this new idea. As long as my 10 day week simply extends my days off to 5 :D

If I had an extra few days in the week I would probably waste them reading sh*tty threads like this....lets just leave things like they are.
