here´s an idea..instead of speed dating how about hosting singles boards beers in a decent pub? I will add a poll to the site to get an idea of numbers interested.

the worst that could happen is you could make a few friends..and i would say its a good idea to be friends/ get to know someone before dating them first?

the only condition for attending these gatherings is that you have to be single and willing to have a bit of craic!

Would the 28th/ 29th suit people? If the events successful we could try a more organised speed dating/ themed gathering..

Oh, right, I thought this was about Easy Singles.

    Then again, maybe it is....

Maybe put this in Events rather than in BGRH... ???

It's already in Events, here, tLL and probably elsewhere.

Would a person who goes be guaranteed a ride, or what?

I'd imagine so, but if there were more blokes than girls, for example, you may have to take pot luck.

It's not a desperate for a shag meet up, it's a singles mingle.

    Maybe so Thaed.

But if it's billed as a "singles night" on Boards.ie it's already a guaranteed sausage fest.

And not the good type of sausage either.

Sausage fest with the odd rabbit in the pressure cooker.

well you see its advertised in LL because lots of ladies post there and here as lots of fellas posted here. Anyway iv just edited the post.

as Thaed says it to allow singles to mingle, and its about meeting new people not just a shag fest.

The hollow'een beers had more wimmin then men which I think is pretty unpresedented for a boards beer. I don't think it will be a sausage fest at all.

How about instead of bringing condensed milk, they have to bring Pringles? A sort of Singles with Pringles Mingle.

    I still think it's going to be a sausage-fest.

hmm if only we knew someone who could get it sponsored by pringles and well maybe durex.

30 second musical introductions should be mandatory, and the catchier the better.

That way the singles who mingle with pringles in Dingle will have the best jingles. Or something.

Maybe the singles who have shingles will be given Pringles and sent to Dingle to compose jingles so they then can mingle and soon feel the tingles.

    Maybe.

    Maybe.

If I was a single trout, I'd love to go and meet a lady dressed in the style of 'Little House on the Prairie' ... remember her ? Laura Ingalls

i say we all go and make it a BGRH night instead, there is bound to more dingle dongle at that then at a shingles night

Careful there now, you do know this is a sitewide thing, not a BGRH thing? Details over on the Events forum.

We don't really get a say in where it is.
