    Hi all,

What are people's opinions of the likely line ups for 2.5m chases ths season, starting with the Paddy Power, and culminating in the Ryanair at HQ and the 2.5m at Aintree?

Its an interesting division to keep an eye on,. becuause (obviously) they are mid way between the QM and the Gold Cup.

I was most impressed with Noland on saturday. he's been laid out to be a staying chaser this year (2m was a bit short in the Arkle, but he did have the pace to win the supreme novices). Whats Nicholls gonna do with him?

Then there's Voy Por Ustedes, who could be very useful indeed over this distance.

The betting is up for the PP at the moment, nothing excites me, unless I knew Nicholls was definitely running Noland, who is 8/1.

Voy Por will be very useful alright. If he turns up at the race i'd reckon Tidal Bay would be very hard to beat. He might go for the Champion Chase though depending i think on how he gets on against Master Minded in the Tingle Creek.

Noland being certain to go for the Ryanair is reason enough to back him at the moment, Voy Por Ustedes and Tidal Bay might have higher aspirations come festival time and theres nothing else to be afraid of that i can see.

I think Tidal Bay may well end up in the Ryanair (but is obviously not an ante post betting proposition at the minute). Massive fan of the horse but if he runs in the Tingle Creek I can see Master Minded putting him in his place. The logical step then would be to step up in trip for the king George and again I can see him being beaten by Kauto Star (no shame in that of course).

EDIT: Only saw this thread after starting one on the PP Gold Cup!!
