Demos up on the US store--1 single player lavel and 1 multiplayer.
After spending 3 hours playing it last night I have to say that this is one of the best games Ive played in a long long time!!

The voice control which I thought may have been a gimmick at first is so easy and natural to use.And it even picked up every command from my very strong Dublin brogue :D:D

Definately a recommended demo download.

Looks very good. I think this is what the PS3 has been missing to date, a good strategy game. Will have a go at the demo later on.

I had a quick go on it my ear piece was flat so i had to use the controller but i enjoyed it i wont get it this month simply becasue of the pile of games ive allready bought and not finished but i will get around to this one eventually.

With my accent I had to skip most of the phrases. It thinks one=11 and 2=10 FFs?!?!?!?!


But still, a very good game.

Turn the gain up on the mic in system settings.similar problem here before i adjusted it.

Dont have mike for the voice command but wasnt entirely impressed by the control for non mike playing... although it does look quite good!

You'll need a translation programme before the voice recognition will work

I remember playing the first SOCOM game on the PS2, screaming into the microphone "Alpha Team, get off yer ar*es and go to Charlie, Yankee f*ckwits!". Made me feel like Sgt. Hartman in Full Metal Jacket!

Too many games this Christmas, thinking this will have to take a back seat for now.

Regarding the game, obviously voice recognition didn't work too well on the game using bluetooth lowering the mic level, no use but enjoyed what i played.

Unlike Command and Conquer where vehicle and infantry move out of the way, infantry don't move outa the way when moving tanks, arty and which proceeded to drive over them but didn't squish them. So far this is the only fault (aswell as the voice thingy) that i have with the demo/game?, minor really and i'm sure it will be patched in later releases(the infantry non squishing tanks that is)

I would have thought you'd enjoy running your tanks over your infantry, sadistic type that you are - "serves them right for not following my orders!!" I hear you say

Back to the voice recognition, I see they are bringing out a patch for people like you - its the Christy Brown (remember My Left Foot?) patch. You say "Oy yeu ga der noo" which translates as "tanks to sector alpha" :D:D

Safely say it won't be as big a patch as the one on your head where hair grew once.:D

Have you ordered far cry 2 from VG+ per chance ? im also still waiting for mine from them and im just getting ready to write an angry email as soon as the 14 days have passed !!

I ordered mine off cdwow as they had mispriced it at 30.99. It was delayed in shipping so I thought they had spotted their error and wouldn't dispatch it. So I went out and bought another copy in harvey normans. However cdwow dispatched the other copy the next day :rolleyes: and so I have two now. I'll sell you one if you want it:cool:
