    Hi!

I decided a while ago to take the plunge and buy a pair of skinny jeans. Unfortunately skinny jeans and my chunky calves dont seem to go together..... Anybody else have this problem and come up with a remedy???

Skinny jeans are difficult to wear, unless you've got awesome legs they can look a bit off. The fact that they are so skinny at the ankle make calves look bigger as well. If you have big calves, it'd be far more flattering for you to wear bootcut jeans or flared jeans as they would suit your shape more.

    Hey
Easy- get a pair of straight cut jeans. These are similar to skinny but don't hug the leg from the knee down just cut straight down (unlike bootcut which taper out slightly). If you have larger calves they will fit snuggly to your leg like skinnies will but won't be uncomfortable! :)
River island, Topshop, Miss Selfridge all have some straight cut

Thanks for the advice, would be able to tuck the jeans into a pair of boots then. Cheers

my arse! Any girl can pull them off with a reasonable body shape. unless your calves are 2x bigger than your thighs that is.. otherwise go for it, wear what you want if thats what makes you feel good

Skinny jeans are generally trés unflattering on most people - men included. There's just something about the way they hug the whole leg that looks extremely unappealing.

I'd suggest tucking them into boots or going for the straightleg jean.
