hello, i don't usually post here but i would love if someone could help me out.

im looking to buy a 37-40 inch hd ready/full lcd tv, i don't know much about the different types of tv's but im looking for the best quality one for around 700euro or am i fool thinking that i can get good standard tv for this amount.

Ill be using the tv for watching tv and playing my xbox360, don't have sky hd so is there much point getting hd full? or is it for the best in the long run?

any help would be greatly appreciated

You should be able to get yourself something decent for that money - I suggest you have a look on Powercity, Richersounds, Komplett and allianceelectric websites - all .ie sites, and take a look at what's available - you could go and have a gander in person in anyof the electrical stores and see which model appeals to you. If you came back hee with a shortlist, someone would be better able to give you an opinion.

As to native full HD, you'd be future proofed if you went for it, but the benefits in a 37" screen are not huge and if you're going for tv and xbox then HDready will do fine.
