I rescued this from the morass of the Lomo thread (which has thankfully dropped off the first page at last ).
On an almost completely unrelated (to the rest of the thread) note, there actually is an instance of film being developed with human urine. it was some patient suffering from some condition that resulted in trace amounts of a particular chemical appearing in his urine. In a crowning irony, the doctor in charge, who was also an avid photography buff, actually developed the mans OWN X-RAYS in the concentrated urine.

Something tells me that Thonda didn't actually believe me, which I found DEEPLY hurtful, and prompted me to dig out the link that I remembered reading ...

Alkaptonuria and photography: A patient's urine tells the story

"This picture of a patient who had alkaptonuria (Fig. 1) was taken by my father, Dr. Ian Maxwell, in 1957 and was developed using the patient's own urine."

I knew that, that's why I made that notation. There had to be some misunderstanding in my response....

When reading books and not only internet articles, you are about to read even what you haven't expected. That is big advantage of books.
Where are those times when I was trying to read how to prepare my own chemicals for darkroom. Now, I am watching videos and surfing interent to learn how to use lightroom.

using urine to develop pictures? Thats hard core. Its definitely a way to claim ownership. I hope the man invoiced the doctor for the supply of chemicals he supplied!
