HELP!!! My hair is ruined :(

I normally go to Peter Marks Dundrum for my blonde highlights but it was getting a bit expensive so I decided to go to a local hairdressers who was charging a much more reasonable €90 for a full head. I was saying to the stylist that I hated the way they never seemed to go right down to the root when they did my highlights (I'm naturally very dark) and she suggested putting in an all over blonde tint and then half a head of highlights over that.

So she slapped the colour on my roots and then I saw the colour developing in my hair to an orangey gingery colour which totally alarmed me  but she kept saying it was just the light and it would look better when it dried, well guess what IT DIDN'T!!! Now I have orange/ginger roots and patchy multicoloured hair down to the ends :o( I really look awful and I'm dreading going to work tomorrow in case people think I actually want this colour in my hair and think it's nice!

I'm not sure what to do, I will go back to the salon to give out but do you think I should ask for the manager and get my money back (I'd say they'll only offer to fix it but I don't want them near my hair now!) or should I just go back to PM Dundrum and get them to fix it? Does anyone have any recommendations of a place in Dublin that does good blonde highlights?

OMG I would go back and demand a full refund - talk to the manager. I got my first proper highlights in Brown Sugar in October (it's off Stephen's Green) and they did a fabulous job.

Don't like Peter Mark myself - I feel like they treat their customers like a conveyer belt. I had a lovely relaxing time in Brown Sugar! It is expensive though.
