Plasma for Wii

I don't want this to turn into a plasma Vs LCD as I reckon I'm kinda settled on a plasma. The problem I have is what the display is going to be used for. So its for the spare room to hook up the Wii to. Possibly extra sky box (not HD), and occasionally for DVD,s again not HD. I was looking to get a 42" Panasonic but am concerned I'm overdoing it for what is not going to be my main TV. Should I grab a nice cheap Philips plasma?

well i suppose that all depends on how deep your pockets are. IMO the WII is better on a larger screen tv. however depending on how big the room is a 37" may be a better option as they usually are priced alot lower than 42"

Well the Panasonic was priced at E999. I'm just thinking I should be spending less on, as I say, is a spareroom telly!

Richersounds have the Panasonic TH42PX8 for €713 (when you pay in sterling)

So if you wanna keep Plasma and keep Panasonic i'd go with that. A Philips/Samsung Plasma would only be slightly cheaper
