Recently i fell out with a drug dealer. The fault was sort of mine but not as much as he thinks(nothing to do with drugs). i didnt really know the guy and stopped talking to him and he might have thought i took a spite at him. However recently he got caught with some stuff and he might be going to jail.i think someone might have informed on him. He isnt a friend but every so often we run into each other. I dont think he is a thug but i am worried in case he thinks its me that informed on him and him or his friends will attack me. Also i am worried that a rumour will start that i am an informer. What should i do?

Difficult one, to say the least. Going to the police would blot your copybook so to speak (if for example, his buddies see gardaí patrol around your place) as would confronting the dealer (if you had means to do so).

I'd say just keep quiet and hope things are ok. Try not to get involved with these kind of people; I'm not saying they're necessarily despisable individuals but they certainly can get you involved with trouble. He probably already knows who ratted him out anyway, they always do.

i hope so.

I wouldnt go to the police as he hasnt threatened but i have seen him since and he has gone out of his way to talk to me even though we dont really know each other. but idont hink this was him being friendly

I am not involved with him. i just happen know people that he knows

Do you know any details of the raid?

Ie, was it in his house, was he carrying the drugs somewhere?

Now, don't reply to those questions here, just think about it. I'd imagine the cops would pounce when they know there's drugs on the premises or the person. This is info you wouldn't be privvy to.

If they arrived at his house they'd need a warrant unless they had very strong intelligence. This type of intelligence you wouldn't have been able to provide if you simply "knew he was a dealer"

The problem is although everyone knew (eg he was fairly blatant) about him i think he thinks it was me. i have seen him since and think hes trying to play mind games.

maybe i am worrying too much
