    Hi,

I have just handed in my notice at work, after 3 weeks. In total, I will have worked in this post 4 weeks. My question is, whether I should add this super short experience to my CV. it would raise the obvious questions which I am not too keen to answer (I had to leave to keep my sanity :().

I have a good enough CV otherwise to go for the jobs I want, and have recent experience as well, can get good references etc. At the same time, I don't want to lie, either. I don't know. What do you suggest I do??

    thanks a mill

You put on your CV a list of what you are able to do. If this job gave you an interesting skill that you could say you have enough experience in in 3 weeks (probably not) then add it.

the other side of the coin is that they might ask, what were you doing for those 3 weeks. to which you could say you were relaxing or visiting with friends or something.

You wouldnt be lying by not putting something on your CV. you are telling them what you want them to know about you.

    hi samhail,

many thanks for this. I don't normally do the "skills" type of CV, more the one where you go in chronological order. Fortunately I have a perfectly good reason for not working a few weeks here and there (I mean not embarrassing or needs further explanation). I did learn quite a bit in these 3 weeks, but my CV is ok without this experience. Hhhhhhhhhhh what a nightmare it was, so glad to be out (soon).
I think I will just leave it out on the CV, but if I am asked any direct question about this period at the interview, I will say the truth, just have to think of wrapping it in a way that does not harm my job prospects , without doing too much of badmouthing of my soon ex-boss et al.

    thanks again
