Which of these 52" LCD's

    Hi

I am looking to buy a 52" LCD. I was looking at these three

Two Sony models, 52W4500 and the 52W4000 and a Samsung LE52A656.

The major difference I can see between the Sony's is that the 4500 is 100Hz. Does this make much of a difference? And how do they compare to the Samsung.

I was looking at getting them on komplett. Someone told me that there may be issues with the models they sell with regard to Free to air tuners in them, they may be UK ones and not work here (I think he mentioned H tuner and D tuner but can't remember exactly). Is there any basis to this?

    Thanks

    Dave

w4500 is the best out of that bunch.

yeah it has an mpeg4 tuner built in, which at the moment will get you the trial broadcasts. it will be officially launched around January and you'll be able to receive it then

The Sharp 52" LCD and 46" LCD have had a price reduction recently. Might be worth concidering too.

If 100hz is a requirement the newer model falls over the 2K mark which probably makes the W4500 the better choice.

Is Plasma out of the questions? If not then this would be well worth a conceridation.

    Thanks all.

I considered a plasma but because I plan to hook it up to my PC I have decided that LCD is the better route. But I also want it for sport so I thought that means I should get the 100Hz. I will splash the extra cash for this if it is necessary but if it dosn't make much of a difference I thought the w4000 would do and I could save €400.
Does 100Hz help negate the problem of LCD with rapid movement?
