    Hi all

2 recent recordings I made on Sky+ wont playback for me. In fact the backup button wont work either, I have to press SKY button to exit the screen. I think I remember it happening once before but I ignored it that time. But 2 programmes last night and 1 earlier this week have me a bit concerned.

The programmes have recorded, it shows the minutes and % used.

Is there anyway of playing these programmes? Oh, other recordings I made last night DID work; it seems to be just a random problem.

    thanks

    h

Happened me on a recording last weekend also. No idea what causes it and no idea how to fix it. Sorry

This happened to me twice a few weeks ago both with the apprentice on a Monday night!

You could try and run a "Planner Rebuild" and see if that fixes the recordings.
Press SERVICES-4-0-1-SELECT on remote to get to Installer Setup Menu.

I have that on series link and they have been fine for me.

As this has only happened to me once so far, I have no real way of knowing if this will solve the problem. I normally do a rebuild once a month anyway.

I had the same problem last week aswell im guessing its a freak of nature so i deleted them. also there is one where it goes recording interupted due to signal loss but it still plays without interuptions and the blue box goes away after a few seconds....weird!

I just got sky+ today and the installer said to wait a few hours before the recording feature is activated. so this eve i decided to do some test recordings....the programme gets recorded but when i go to view it, it says "recording interrupted" for a few moments (length of time varies) then "end of programme". when i go back to the planner it says i've viewed the programme???

live pause and rewind also doesnt work.

    did the rebuild, didnt help

    what next???

Try resetting the box..plugging it out from the wall and waiting 45 seconds then plug in. Wait another 30 seconds and turn on...if that dont work you might need a software download from sky.

I have the exact same problem as the OP. However when I try to the rebuild the box just turns off

Same here - I think my hard drive may be screwed as live pause is not working either.

This is sort of realted to the above thread.

I have Sky Freesat(in NI) and I was timer recording programmes via the video.

I was to record a programme on ITV so when I left home at 12.30 today I left the Box switched on so the programme could record. However the Sky box seems to be going into auto standby after a few hours of not being used.

Has anyone else found this problem?

Same problem as OP here, replaced power supply on Thompson box but has not solved it. Picture freezes box shuts down and then you cant access the recording after it reboots. Its happened maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

There was/is an issue with HD boxes that has happened to me - if you record back to back programmes on the same channel and try to play them back, the first programme will play but the second one will not, despite showing that it has recorded properly. Don't know if that is an issue for you.

The workaround was to change the Sky+ settings to have no additional time at the beginning or end of a recording but you may lose some of the programme that way (particularly on RTE)

What I do now is try to have the programme record on the +1 channel if it is available!

Were you recording any other channel at the same time as the back to back recordings?

I believe this issue was resolved a while back, when did it last happen to you?
