Hey all, Im 22 and i've got really bad spots on my face and chest and back at the minute ive never got them this bad before its making me really selfconscious esp around my boyfriend. The doctor put me on Dianette but thats not going to show any effects for another 3 months or so. Its really starting to get to me and i hate covering myself in makeup. Im not been vain but its just that all my family are pointing it out and its really starting to bother me. does anyone know anything that would work faster.
    Please and thank you.

I used to suffered from this also and can still get the odd breakout. I Went to the doctor and tried everything and tbh the best solution is time it will eventually fade. I did find however that sleeping well helps when i got run down they used to get alot worse. Also drinking plenty of water and staying away from crappy food and soft drinks. Its just one of those things some people get and others dont. You can try laser treatments also but these are generally a last resort and your doctor wont refer you until you have tried medication be it in cream or tablet form. All in all be confident in yourself and dont give a crap about what other people think about you. If everyone including your boyfriend loved you before you got spots then they will still love you now. And if they dont screw them they are not worth worrying about

OP- A quick fix is difficult for skin. I agree with Arthur Guinness, try to keep your diet healthy as certain foods can trigger breakouts, and it's good for you anyway!

You could go for a Dermalogica Facial, they do face mapping where they identify your problem areas on your skin and recommend products that would best solve those problems. When I came off Dianette Dermalogica got my breakouts back under control. They have special acne ranges too. Do a google to see where your nearest beauty salon is that does them.
