    Hi All,

SO I want to get a once off 20 shares and not pay a yearly fee?

I need to get 20 EuroDisney Shares and don’t want to pay a yearly fee to a broker.
I've been looking into this for the past few days and haven't had much luck.

Proof of ownership of the Eurodisney shares allows me to get discounts of 15% on restaurants and shops in Disneyland Paris and 10% in any Disney shop.
and this is worth 4 times the cost of the actual shares to me.
So, for a cost of about €100, I’ll save €300 and get the price of the shares back from Disney, you see I'm going to Euro Disney later this year.

The shares have no real investment potential and I believe they have no dividend attached?
    EuroDisney Shares ISIN: FR0010540740
The shares are only listed in France I think?

I tried to register with selftrade.co.uk, but they won’t accept registrations from Ireland anymore, this was introduced about a month ago by their compliance department, according to the guy I talked to earlier today.

I liked the thought of joining Selftrade so that I could dabble in shares with a transaction fee of €12.50 and no yearly fee. (I know shares are bad now, but they’ll pick up eventually…)

I then tried ShareWatch and they charge €60 per year annual charge, which I don't want to have to pay.

Then I tried iWeb and am unable to setup a share dealing account from Ireland

If i could set up one of these UK places it would be so much cheaper than Ireland.

I then tried Ireland, I tried one place, and it was looking good, I could set up an execution account or unmanaged account, which I could use over the phone.
Then I checked the charges for this, €100 per call

So could anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance,
    s

Have u tried just going into a bank and asking to buy shares.

I haven't bought or sold shares in a few yrs but i used to go into AIB and buy and sell shares, used to cost 40 odd quid per transaction. AIB are part of Goodbody stockbrokers so not sure if u can do it with any bank. Anyway after i'd buy the shares they'd post the share certs out to me and i never had to pay any annual management charge.

Have you tried Keytrade? Free to open the account and no annual fee. pm me your email and I will send you an invite which will get you €20 free when you open the account.

FYI Shareholders club membership card takes up to 6 weeks to arrive.

If your kids are under 7 and you plan on going back within 12-18 months you should look into the annual passport option instead of the shares. You can also get a 10% discount on the cost of the passports if you look around. Annual passports can also be extended for up to 12 months by sponsoring/referring others seeking a passport.

You get similar discounts in shops and hotels with the passports but you wont get the shareholder invites to access new rides before they open to the public.

    Diarmuid,
Keytrade looks good, have PM'd for invite, thanks

    Genco,
Already have the tickets for disney so annual passport not gonna work.
Disney will send out temp. club membership identification that can be used until the Shareholders club membership card arrives.

    Thanks,

Do sharewatch charge you 60 every year if you buy shares on a once off?

I thought you give you give them 50 and that's it? You have to give 60 every year if you have an account with them.
