M203 heatgaurd on an m4

Just wondering is there any way of fitting this http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.php?cPath=68_69&products_id=1531 to an m15a4 ? I think if you move the whole front site bit forward it will fit but I dont know .
Any suggestions ?

If its the M15A4 carbine (M4 size) it won't fit unless you get an M16 length external barrel. If you have the M15A4 rifle (M16 size) it will fit fine. That M203 mount is only designed to fit full M16 length Armalites.

Yeah It's a carbine but If i would it not work if i move the whole front sight stuff forward . Do you know what lenght it is so I can have a look see

You would not be able to move the sight up. A long M203 which is the same length as the heat shield is more or less the same length as the M4 barrel + flash hider.

Yeah thats annoying . Any idea f there is a short version of the heat gaurd and would if only fit the short launcher

As far as I know there is real steel short version of that hand guard and I've never seen an airsoft one.

M203s are gererally clamped to the barrel of M4s directly.

How would you clamp it to the barrel directly?

You take off the lower hand guard and front sight. The M203 has two ring clamps, slide it down the barrel, one secures near the reciever end and the other past the front sight. Some/all M4s have a notch on the barrel past the front sight that where it goes.

Those clamps will only fit the M15A4 carbine there are others on that site that will fit other M15s and not the A4 carbine. Same with that launcher there is another that is a RIS fit only, the one in the link uses the clamps.

Personally I think the long 203 looks better than the shorter 203 on an M4 as the launcher matches the same length as the gun.

Do a google image search for M4 M203 and you'll see loads.

See the link to the clamps, there is a cross pin in one, you see the small hole on top of the 203 in the second link, it slots in there and the pin holds it. The second clamp fit around the rear mount on the launcher and the hex wrenches tighten it in place on the rear of the barrel so it won't move about.

hmmm f*ck I dont think mine will work with these grrrr Is there an adapter you can get or would i be better off mounting some rails onto the aeg?

Yeah you can get a rail mounted 203.

I don't know much about fitting a rail on the lower hand guard and possible clearance issues there may or may not be with the M203. These are ment for RIS hand guards, but should be no problem. I don't know if the plastic hand guards can take the weight though, I've never had an Armalite with them.
