What ICM calculator do most sng regulars use when playing. And also could anyone inform me of how these ICM Calcs are most effectively used.

Free, good ICM calculator and a description of how to use it here.

ICM is used to translate a tournament stack into a monetary equity. Given the nature of stepped payout tournaments, straight line pot/implied odds considerations are insufficient. What happens at the bubble and large steps in the payout is that you often need much higher pot odds than normal, since the chips you lose are worth way more than the chips you win. There's lots of discussion of ICM on the MTT and SNG forums on 2+2 and in some of the tourney hands here on boards.ie.
