    Hi,

I have posted messages here before, we have put our application in to Leitrim Co. Co., they have asked us to get permission off the local land owner to maintain the hedgerows for sight lines, our architect has asked the local councilor to see if he can talk to the landowner to help him sign the relevant agreements, anyone else had this kind of thing happen?

I asked the landowner myself and he refused.

It happens all the time. Is it possible to position your site entrance so that the vision lines don't cross third party lands?

It is a standard question asked on pretty much all the FIs in this part of the world. It a great idea but I have yet to see anybody maintaining hedgerows to allow the required sight distances. You will however need the letter or else try and move the entrance somewhere else on the site. Remember though that if you put the entrance outside the boundary of the site you'll need to submit a new application.

not long to go now, the FI has been submitted (minus the letter of consent from the adjoining land owner), we should have our decision at the end of the month.... fingers crossed
