Camera Choosing Help

Hey, not sure if this is the best place for this, but i'm currently looking for a camera for myself. I am willing to spend in and around the €300 mark, maybe a little bit more...

After seeing some friends who both have Fujifilm bridge cameras (not sure of the model number) I really like the form factor and zoom and such of these cameras...

Some models i am looking at are:
    Sony DSC-H50
    Fujifilm s8100fd or Fujifilm s2000hd
    Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28
    Nikon Coolpix P80

Are bridge cameras a good route to take with cameras? Also, where's a good place to buy cameras online? Cheapest i've seen (i think) is pixmania...

    Cheers all.

IMHO its hard to pass Fuji for the bridge models, though Panasonic also have a good reputation.
Be sure you need the zoom range though, as producing a lens like that inevitably leads to compromises at all focal lengths, watch for the wide angle too, too long at the wide end can be a right PITA.

There is a long list of suppliers in the FAQ/sticky, though it seems that some of the ebay ones may be gone.

7dayshop.com have the Coolpix P80 on special I think. Seemed a good price & Euro is good to the Pound at the moment. They also have the Canon G9 on special. It's a bit more than your budget, but not a lot. I have just ordered one of those for myself.
