seen actually some grafiti on the way into the arts building, the one college side the upper entrance, on the left on the small wall! looks real bad!

actually when i was using one of the computers in the arts block the mouse ball fell out. had to chase it across the floor. so maybe its not just down to vandalism.

hey if anything the hamilton shoud be one, not minus one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭PurpleFistMixer

    Think that's a hyphen, not a minus.

Maybe these terrible vandals just want you to use the keyboard more. Maybe they have some vendetta against mice.

What would an arts student use a computer for anyway? : p

omfg, even the labs run by the computer science department, which have generally had significantly better computers than the rest of college, have optical mice!!1!OMFG!!1!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,699 ✭✭✭Brian

Just a pity they've neglected the department, ie building / lack of. Suppose not much more is needed, really.

I was making a point of delapidated prefabs being more up-to-date(ish) mice-wise than the Arts block.
Why ya gotta go being sarcastic for? meanie. :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

same reason you stole the mouse balls from the arts block.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

    Thief.

edit:oh, and for the last two years at least, the prefabs have had the best available pc's on campus, since the dual cores were first put in :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 421 ✭✭Peslo

I didn't steal any mouse balls from the Arts block. Or any block for that matter.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

Just the one then? You thief! Just when you open your heart and start to trust someone from crumlin again... smash ... they shatter your hopes and dreams carelessly and callously. I'm now dashed upon the bitter rocks of despair, a wreck, a lost soul searching, ever searching... How could you do it peslo, how! how!

You're right, I'll never walk around tesco's with the disembodied head of my girlfriend in a shopping trolley. And you know why? Cause I'll never trust again after this peslo being a criminal incident.

He's been indoctrinated by Igor Shvets and his use of hyphens instead of equals signs.

Yeah, just had that today. We're finished with Prof. [thanks kearnsr..] Shvets now, so I don't know what the story with 1E6 is anymore actually. Will there be something on in its place?

You still have 1e6. You are just finished with the first lecturer. You will now have Prof Vij.
Pay attention to his stuff cause it is 2 easy questions on the paper. Comes straight out of the tutorials.

Dont bother learning the stuff you just did from Schvets, he always throws up a dirty question anyways. He did for both exam and supplemental last year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,699 ✭✭✭Brian

I didn't understand much of what he covered anyway.. only time I felt truly comprehending was in todays lecture, and that's because most of the stuff [potential/kinetic] was straight from applied maths. None of those trick questions.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 8,260 Mod ✭✭✭✭Jonathan

You can do fine if you just pay attention to Vij and Fannin.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 250 ✭✭uprooted shane

fannins stuff, to me, came across as proper hard last year in lectures when i payed like fifty percent attention, but when i studied it for the exams it was handy stuff! as jon said better off just getting the notes taken for it and youl be fine!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,699 ✭✭✭Brian

I tried to take notes for Shvets, but he moves way too quickly for you to be able to take not and comprehend, so in the end I did neither.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭mathew

You'll love Vij... dont get to scared of him.. youll see what I mean after a few lectures :P

Do try to learn his stuff tho, while it will prob be mind numbing trying to listen to him, his questions are handy if you know the stuff :P
