    Hopefully keeping it within the charter, I am attending an event in Dublin sometime over the next few days, and want to bring my camera. Are there issues with things like this - do securty mind, do you need permission?

    Just bringing the 50mm, maybe the flash...

    Personally, with certain venues I wouldn't unless I knew it was ok. You could contact the band or promoter and ask for a press pass?

    It's all down to the promoters and artists. Most of the big venues will not allow you to bring in an SLR into the gig.
