    Hi Guys,

i bought a halloween costume from Ebay two weeks ago. The seller sent me a tracking number which says the item was accepted at a post office on the 20th, it still says status accepted. I emailed the USPS and got nowhere, they kept saying the seller needs to contact them. I've sent the seller three emails and received no repsonse. They are an ebay power seller. I think its pretty obvious i'm not going to get the costume for halloween, what should i do now or any ideas of how i could get it? Thanks!

Raise a dispute in paypal (assuming you paid with paypal)

I did, i got a reply back from the seller with generic information on customs might take your parcel blah blah we'll investigate after four weeks. Usps have told me they have no info on the parcel at all so i emailed again. I then got two replies, one which wasn't even for me and they were word for word the same, we have confirmed that customs has your package and it will be with you soon, we cannot contact customs on your behalf, apologies. As usps say the parcel wasn't even processed i think this is bull so i've started a paypal dispute

If Customs are actually holding it, then you won't get far with the dispute. Paypal won't hold a seller responsible for Customs, as it's completely out of their control. It's one of the risks of buying from overseas, and more specifically, from outside the EU. The tracking number you have should work on the An Post tracking site, and should say of Customs have it.

You could also try to contact An Post or Customs about it, give them the tracking number, and see if they have it.

as the other posts say, Customs is not the sellers fault.

If you bought outside of the EU, you have to learn to leave enough time incase this happens.

Unfortunately, its somethin that everyone has to learn :(
