I got one of these at a stall in New York, but you can get them on any stall here too. Very cosy and quite funky!

I get some brilliant ones in Penneys, and for some reason I never see anybody else with them...

I'd say for a more unique one Hit the stall on Liffey Street or anywhere in Temple Bar

Tried a lot of places last night, but no joy!!
Went into places like Oasis and Debenhams and Clerys (never a nice experience for a bloke! things I do for her!)
Urban Outfitters were a bit 'too funky'... especially at €45 for a hat!!
I think Pennys or Dunnes might be my best bet for what I'm looking for after all...
matching gloves would be good too.

Me too. Got a few bits and pieces last week. I bought hats, scarves etc in Penneys 5 years ago and they're still in great condition. Gotta love Penneys! :D The stuff they have in this year is fab.

I got a few nice wooly hats in penneys yesterday, and at €2 each you can't go wrong!

A hat for 2 euro will be the exact quality of 2 euro and probably made in a sweat shop in china.

I disagree, Pennys hats usually last a long while, for me anyway. And I will ignore the sweat shop bit.

well lets hope the rest of the world don't ignore the sweat shop bit.

I agree their clothes and bits do last a while but if you're looking for quality anything made in china is not the right source of production.

Yeh theres lovely ones in urban outfitters at the minute specially if your looking for a quirky multi-coloured hat! There's a store on temple bar or in dundrum if your around there!

Also try accessorize, topshop & river island!!

    Best of luck looking!! :D:D

Now now pynchy! I don't know wher you shop, but all i know is that everything, and literally everything is amde in china and i havent had much problem with their clothes. Although yes, pennys, there quality isn't great and i don't shop their unless im stuck or getting pjyamas.

But back to china, if you look at designer wear or indeed Abercrombie and Fitch, its all made in china!! And the quality is nothing to complain about!!

no everything is not made in china, its only the larger chains that have all there stuff made in china. Sometimes the quality can be fine but in comparison to having something that is either european made or made locally... the major problem i have is that the conditions for workers where the garments are made is questionable, in fact pennys were exposed last month for running sweatshops in china.

here's the link to an article

River Island usually have a good enough selection.

Can we keep it on topic? This isn't a Penneys/China debate. OP asked where to buy nice wooly hats, a few of us said Penneys (because they are nice hats and some of us may or may not be on a budget!) so let the OP decide from everyone's posts where he wants to look.

    agreed.

Another place to try is at the corner of wicklow and grafton street, the little stall there.
