With this fecking freezing weather I'm after a hoodie that is like wearing a hug. Kind of like those Abercrombie ones that are really soft, only not them as I'd preferably be able to pick one up in Dublin. Any tips?

Cotton is your enemy in the cold. If you want something REALLY warm and long lasting, I'd highly recommend IceBreaker Marino Tops - they're FANTASTIC. You can get them in 52 deg North or Great Outdoors.

They're geared towards outdoor use (walking/hiking), but I live in mine. They're expensive enough, but will still look brand new in 2 years time. Actually they probably cost the same as an Abercrombie top, but you know how raggy hoodies can get after a few washes .... !

Wool is a very durabe, warm and breathable material, and is worth the investment. You won't find anything cosier!
