    Along with being a part of one of the worlds most successful bands –“Dire Straits”- who pioneered the transition from vinyl to cd -selling over 120 million worldwide- John Illsley is ready to release Beautiful You, which is the result of two year collaboration with Irish singer songwriter Greg Pearle. Recorded in Mark Knopflers studio and including another musical legend Paul Brady playing the flute on the single “One” and Guy Fletcher the original key board player from Dire Straits .(One is featured in the forthcoming motion picture-“Anton” that got its premier on the 10th October in Movies @Dundrum, Co Dublin).
    Having led the CD revolution with Dire Straits massive selling album “Brothers in arms” in the early 80s, in tune with modern trends Beautiful You is set to be released on 13th Oct, 2008 in Ireland. Prior to that, the album will be released for free on high quality MP3's - maintaining the transition from cd to now the MP3- exclusively to buy directly from John’s new website www.johnillsley.com. Their Irish Tour in November includes a gig in the legendary Whelan’s of Wexford St. on the 11th November. Special hard copies will be available in all good record stores from October onwards. Already gaining National & Regional airplay, this album is a fast grower & perfectly mixes elements of classic Straits song writing with a new sound; Dire Straits fans and indeed all music fans- will not be disappointed.
