recommendations for new years?

    Hi all,
    I was hoping to get reccomendations on where to go for New Years. My friends and I are all about 20 and we want somewhere (in Europe!) that is resonable and will be lively for New Years. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

    went to berlin last year for new years it was excellent great firework display and there is a new years pub crawl that you can do(highly recommend),google it...id say krakow would be good too for new years but have not been...

    London or Edinburgh but neither would be cheap at that time of year.

    I'm looking for similar - when you think about it all of Dublin shuts down for New Years day so its likely to be the same all over the rest of the world... so where is good to go? I'd rather be somewhere with English - dunno why - just have this thing that at NYE you need it. Probably random but meh!

    No point going to Canada or America - only have a few days off. Dont want to end up in Playa del Ingles - been to London and Edinburgh (am considering Edinburgh but not 100%) - Would rather go somewhere I aint been before.

    Anyone got any suggestions.
