I was messing about and stuck a compressor on my master bus and kinda got a vocal ducking effect.

Can anyone tell me precisely how to achieve this as I think it will work well with musical backing tracks?? I have pro tools le and logic so either way the wind blows if you catch my drift?

    :)

Compressor on backing track, set to key from vocal track (use a bus send from the vocal track for this).
Fool around with the attack/release until it doesn't sound unnatural.
Fool around with ratio/threshold until you get the desired amount of duck.
    Quack Quack.
