Muscle Grouping in Workout

Just been thinking about this as i'm setting myself some new goals...

If I was to do a three day split are there any particular muscle groups that should be done in conjunction with each other? If I were to break it down into back/chest/biceps/triceps/legs/shoulders are there any that should go together or can you mix & match as necessary?

    Cheers

    I'd do:

Back with biceps. Chest with triceps. And legs on their own.
And I'd probably just do shoulders whenever I could, probably twice a week thrown in with the other sessions. But I really like shoulders!

What lifts are ya gonna be doing?

    I do:

    Chest, Tricep and Shoulders:

    BB Bench Press
    Military Press
    Incline DB bench press
    Side raises
    Tricep pulldowns
    Lateral Raises
    Dips

    Back and Bicep.

    Deadlift
    Lat pulldown
    Cable row
    DB shrugs
    Hyperextensions
    Preacher Curls

    Legs.

    Squats
    Leg Press
    Lunges
    Leg Curls

    Or there abouts

    they/them/theirs

And so on, and so on …. - Slavoj Žižek

I do 3/4 day splits but mainly
    Chest and bicep
    Back and tricep

Then a mix between mostly legs and shoulders and a few other odd exercises.

This kind of doubles up on your arms for each workout and I've made serious gains doing this.
