    Michael,

In Pro tools if I want to sync my ADAT I select 'hardware' and select 'Optical' and everything works fine, if I don't select optical I get very erratic cracks and snaps.

So today I wanted to track in Logic and I was getting those erratic cracks and snaps. How do I tell Logic to sync to my ADAT please?

    002 is my sound card.
    ADAT OPTICAL INTO 002

    Wordclock issue?

    Hi Dav
Logic has nothing to do with setting word clock.
You need to tell the 002 to sync to adat in its control panel (if there is one) in system preferences. There should be a preference for the 002.
Are you running an external preamp into the 002 using lightpipe?
If not make sure logic is set to the same sample rate as the 002.
To do this control click the transport bar in logic and configure transport bar to show sample rate and select it there.
Bear in mind that core audio drivers for using digi gear with other software is not very high on digidesign's priorities.

    100% +1

Thanks a mill, so straight forward!! I did as you said and set the core audio manger to optical and guess what, no clicks or pops! My client is gone so maybe next time I can start tracking in Logic.

Thanks Michael, your a Logic animal!
