Coloured Contact Lenses for Halloween??

I'm looking for some black or coloured contact lenses for halloween. I don't ordinarily wear lenses or any kind of glasses - they'd be purely for costume purposes.

I'm wondering where they can be bought and some idea of cost- preferably in Dublin South or City.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Contact lenses are very difficult to put in for first time users and done incorrectly you could do some damage to your eyeball. Especially with the novelty coloured contact lenses, i'm not sure how safe/certified those products would be.

At the very least I suggest you go into an opticians and get a lesson on putting them in first. Its not as easy as it looks on TV/Film when your starting out.

The coloured ones (novelty) tend to be quite expensive. Argos used to do a selection of them but i dont know if i'd trust them.

Thanks for that. It's certainly a concern I have. And you can be sure that Argos and anyone else doing cheap novelty products have all the small legal print in place to ensure no liability.

Yep, like I said just be careful dude. You dont want to **** up your eyes just to look good for one night.

Even if you put them in wrong (backwards being the usual, can be hard to tell the difference at first) theres a uncomfortable/itching/burning sensation, then you have to take into account the fact that you cant sleep with them in and will be trying to take them out when your most likely half tore :)

Its quite common for people to panic when they cant get a lens out. You dont want to accidentally scratch your cornea or something.

Forgot to mention if you are still certain you want to go ahead with it try to buy the coloured lenses from an actual optician, I know most of the main chains like specsavers dont carry the novelty ones just natural colours (which should probably tell you something I suppose) but maybe an independant optician might ? At least that way you'll be shown how to do it and wont be buying sub quality lenses.

    Cheers.

I have a mate who wears contacts who'll be at the same party. Might run it by him and see what he thinks. It's actually in his house so he'll have solution etc there just incase.

    Hmmm...
