    Hi,
not sure this is the right forum to post this. After seeking help in the past few months for anorexia I'm currently on the waiting list for admission to their residential eating disorder programme. I'm anxious and scared and don't know what to expect from it all. I know I'm doing the right thing for me. Does anybody have experience of it, and what its like in there?

    Hi,

Don't be scared - That hospital is like a hotel more than anything else. I spent two weeks there, but only in a general ward (i.e. for depression). For the first few days, however, I was actually in the high-security ward because I was a threat to myself (apparently). Anyway, I remember walking past the eating disorder place a few times and I even walked through it once. It's basically just women there and it seemed like a friendly atmosphere.

    Anyway, things will be fine.

    Take care,
    Kevin.
