Mickoo takes a week banning for that.

    Pecker,

Back in the day when I was doing Kenpo around 6 months was the norm, although your earlier grades would be shorter and your later grades would have a longer wait.

Usually between 3-6 months, longer for grades above brown belt

From my experience in Kenpo it depends on the individual and how much work they put into training. In my former club people graded when ever the head instructor felt they were ready for it. Some people could be on a belt for a year, others could be on the same belt for 5/6 months. If you want to shorten the time until your next grading do as much training at home as you can, including searching youtube for techniques and forms/sets.

Good Luck with the Blue belt syllabus.

In "theory" it should be 3 months per belt until you reach the brown belts, then it's usually 6 months a pop. Each Black Belt "Degree" is usually three years to get.

That's the basic model if I remember correctly. I don't do Kenpo anymore, so I'm out of the loop. There are certain factors that can be thrown into the mix as well. If a student takes a long break or doesn't do much practicing etc.

If you train privately you may well grade quicker.

As I said earlier that's the "theroy" anyway. However, it really depends on the school... Some schools can take a lot longer to grade their students than others.
