    Hi all,

Dublin N00bie here. Just wondering if there were any decent men's hairdressers around Dublin? I was extremely fortunate to have had my hair cut the past 3 years (on the cheap) by a hairdresser trained in the Vidal Sassoon academy. I know I won't be able to get that same level of expertise again but can anyone suggest a few salons? My budget is €30-40.

theyre owned by the same people cos my mate works in both, but he's based down in the IFSC mainly. Knights in St Stephens Green SC are good. But if you want serious hair cutting, Brown Sugar Salon on Sth William St is amazing, 45 euro though!

The guy who owns The Grafton has roughly twelve all together AFAIK.

Peter Mark are also decent enough if you want more than short back and sides.

I'll check them out. Might give Brown Sugar a miss though, for me to pay €45 is to question my priorities!

Hairways Barber's on the Kilmore Road.
Great cut (€12.00 dry cut) Cool decor (all based on aviation)
    Chap is really nice.

Been going there for years. As I just posted on another forum here, I just moved to Balbriggan and I still make my way back to Artane for a cut (And my mam lives their)

If you decide to visit the Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin 15, during the week or particularly on a Saturday or Sunday, i'd recommend Rosso's Barbers.

It's at the front of the Blanchardstown Centre, on the left hand side, in between the Post Office and Subway (if i'm not mistaken)

I get a number 3 haircut in there every few weeks. I like the place as it's got a modern feel to it, the staff are very friendly, and the damage for a haircut isn't too bad.

    Recommended.

Dont know if you ever visit Belfast, but Jason Shankey on the Lisburn Road is fantastic and worth holding out for if you know you're gonna be up there anytime soon. There's a guy in there called Simon who always does exactly what you ask for, but he's opened up his own place out in Finaghy now which is beyond my means of travel :o
