BBC content via Sky Player in Ireland?

The Sky Player now has BBC programmes on it. I do not have the Sky Player but I do not think they would block the BBC content for its Irish users. Can anyone with the Sky Player 100% confirm it works here.

    Not exactly iPlayer though. :(

Sorry, I should change the title. Still, close enough to the iPlayer.

Barnicles, do you have the Sky Player? Could you confirm that BBC content defintily works here?

No, no sky player here! Just saying it was a misleading title

Bad news. After doing a bit of Googling, I discovered that when trying to watch BBC content on the Sky Player, it directs you to the iPlayer website. So I'm pretty sure it won't work.

Google "open uk proxy" and you should get a few sites with uk proxy ip's that you can use to view the iplayer. Some work, some don't, but they're all usually pretty slow loading the videos.

BBC iplayer wont work in ireland as you have to be a licence payer living in the uk to use it
