Child Care costs in Dublin

Could anyone explain to me why child care costs are so high in Ireland compared to other EU nations ,and why there is such a huge gap in costs between Dublin and the rest of our nation? I know costs are higher in Dublin but surely not so high to create a 30% difference?

wage costs are higher in ireland , as are most of the running costs esb, insurance etc.

dublin is dearer as the cost of living is higher and supply and demand dictates the price, prob more kids per creche then in rural areas.
