    Hi,
Dublin first timer here and I have just read on the website " Make sure to fix the chip to your shoe as directed with the cable ties provided at the EXPO."

I only received the race number for my shirt at the EXPO no shoe chip. Should I have gotten a shoe chip also?

    Thanks. Good luck everyone.

    NO!
The chip should stay attached to the back of the race number (at least until after you've run/walked the 26+ miles). The website FAQ must be copied from previous years. Good luck to you too!

Thanks I was thinking there was two chips one for shoes and the one on the number. Good to know this is old info.

After you picked up your chip, you should have walked over a mat, and your name/race number would have been displayed on the screen - just to test the system. Thought this was a nice touch. Gives you a small amount of confidence that it'll work on the day!
