Ok there is this girl who I have seen in my college gym for the last year and I've always had a thing for her. In the past two weeks I have seen her nearly everyday (Mon - Fri that is) around campus and in the gym. Like in that space of time I have found out that she is left handed, in the same year as myself, studying French (nice bit of stalking work I must say :D) and has a friend who has a really raw county accent. She also as a really unique style and I think she is stunning.

But the problem is that I know I wont go over to her and start talking to her. Even if I did have the guts to its petty difficult because of the routine she has in the gym. Will come into the gym then she will spend about 30+ minutes on the treadmill (with mp3 player in hand) then goes off in-between two machines to do about 10 minutes of abdominal work where is there is a mat for doing work or grab a mat from where there is 3 mats (and this is where most do their ab work) and head out to a section of the gym where no one goes then she will heads on home. She head's to the gym most nights.

Now I don't know if she would be interested in me but I know for sure she recognise me. Like take the end of last year I was running on the treadmill (had a big match coming up) and I spent a lot of time on it. She was on the treadmill one way from me on my right to my left there was a window so there was a reflection off it so im running away look to my right she looks straight forward then I look to my left and she looks over at me (as I could tell by the window) and I caught her doing this a few times until she coped on what I was at. Then my 1st time back in college gym I see her coming off the treadmill with a limp (Must have been her 1st time back) and she just stares at me (I must be ugly :P) walking past. Two weeks ago I was walking around as I had a good bit of spare time on my hands and I see her on the other side of the road I look away then next thing I know she running (ok walking really fast) across the road and ends up in front of me we make eye contact then she looks down and walks past me. On the last day of exams I was walking around the same area (must live there) and I walk past her we catch eyes she walks past then a few seconds later I look back to find her head turning back from looking behind her and she is only like 2 metres behind me when she should be a least 4 or 5 times that. Yeah I know most of that is just wishful thinking.

Now I have NEVER seen her out and any time I have seen her around campus she is on her own only 4 times have I ever seen her with a friend.

I have come to the conclusion that:
She doesn't have a boyfriend and that is why she spends so much time in the gym.
Isn't that sociable thus doesn't have that many friends.
And is from that area where the college situated.

But she could be from somewhere else, has a bf at home and has more friends at home and heads out with them.

Like I am douche when it comes to women like take for example I was at a house party the other week and this stunning looking girl catches my eye, as night goes on I see her looking over my way, then I walking in the hall and her an one her mates stop me, her friend ask me where I am from and other girl comes in and starts up a new conversation with me and her friend leaves leaving the two of us but I let the conversation die as I really had to go to the toilet but I NEVER go over and start talking to your one again even though she is clearly bored and not talking to anyone.

I have many more stories like that best one being a girl who I really liked putting her number in my phone and I didn't even cop she was interested in me.

Thanks for reading my rant sorry if some things don't make sense as I have chopped and changed lines.

Put yourself out of your own misery; just go talk to the girl. you say shes limping at the moment; start a conversation about 'blah blah, you're back again this year, what happened to the leg, blah blah'. She might treat you like a pariah; or it could go really well!!

Eitherway, do it soon, you're getting rather obsessive about the whole thing; which really isn't good. Time to stop torturing yourself!

In that case don't go up and kick her in the shins! ;)

Just relax and once you get talking it'll flow.

next time you catch her glance trying smiling at her and see what she does. at least you will have an indication from her.

you know far to much about a girl you haven't even spoken too.

It may the manner in which you have written your post but Pol Pot believes that your infatuation with this girl and the sheer amount of knowledge and opinions you have on her indicate your issue is not speaking to her but that you're stalking her.

She may find this really creepy if you ever to speak to her and tell her all you know.

On the subject of introducing yourself....there is no advice..you gotta go say "hi".

I'm going against the grain here, don't talk to her in the gym, people want their own space when they are working out, it could be weird.

also you sound very very obsessive, too obsessive

Yes I would agree with knowing way to much on a girl I have never talked to, I even find it weird and a bit worried that I am capable of doing that.

But in my defence I found out a good bit of information all in the space of a few minutes, I came out of my lecture to look into the lecture theatre across from mine to find her signing her name or something, then I hear her friend talking to her, then I had a look at the timetable for the theatre, found out what year she is in and what she is studying.

You knowing too much is just a good attention to detail its not that bad.

Gonna be honest man just go in for it one thing I have found is thinking makes things like this more complicated. Worsted thing that could happen is you get shot down it you'll get a few looks but chances are you'll lose interest after a while. If your stuck for a conversation starter I'd say grab an old broken pair of headphones ask her could your borrow hers to see if the problem is your mp3 player or the headphones :D btw have something awful like fallout boys in your mp3 player to help break the ice :P after that mention about her leg and keep going on from there

    Btw you watch House M.D

Em think I might have found her on bebo but by a complete fluke, was on a friends page doing a bit noising and clicked to see her reply only to spot the girl I was talking about on the profile photo, I then look at the top 16 and click on her page. [I love when that type of stuff happens when your not looking for something you will find it]

So after a few minutes of looking I'm 80% sure its her :D

Unfortunately I was right about a few things...cue me losing interested straight away.

She is from <a certain county in Ireland> and everyone in <my college> seems to be from there.

But was really shocked to find out she is a few years my senior, I certainly wasn't expecting that.
