Hi, I am looking at getting a new kitchen. Semi D 3 bedroom house in Dublin 15 built around 16 years ago, fairly bog standard size/L shape kitchen.

I am looking at the "urban white" kitchen in Cash & Carry kitchens - haven't done measurements yet so no quote yet. Anybody got any good or bad reports on C&C kitchens???

OR does anyone have any suggestions for a buget kitchen, but one that will look good, and hopefully stand the test of time for the next 15 years!

    Any help?!

    Thanks in advance

    Hiya amdublin,

I am a kitchen designer and the best advice I can give you is to get the new layout sorted first and then start pricing around. If you can tell each company what you want and where it needs to go it will give you the best price comparrison. Also don't rule out the smaller kitchen companies in your area as most will do a vinyl wrap range that would compete in price with the likes of cash and carry but would be able to offer a greater varity of units that may suit your home better and give you a more functional finish. Lastly most kitchen fitters can get their hands on nearly any door you want so it would be no harm in trying thoes guys out as their overheads are lower and can somtimes give you a better deal. If you do decide to go the route of an independent carpenter then ask for references and go see their work and never pay in full up front. HTH
