what the hell happened in the last round of the fight, just reading eastside boxing's report and it seems unreal.
A count that possibly lasted 24 seconds

The commentry team made a mountain out of it to be honest.
the 24second count was just the commentator's manuel count , and not an actual clock count.

Bute got knocked down with 2 seconds to go on the clock.
the ref counted to about 6 , as Bute was getting himself back to his feet.
Knowing that Andrade needed a KO to win , and that there was virtually no time left in the fight , he left his neutral corner to swarm Bute , who at this stage was rubbery on the ropes.
the ref turned and ordered him back to the neutral corner , and at this stage bute had beaten the count .
Bute was in a standing position 9 seconds after he fell to the canvas.
He was in no fit state to continue , but everybody knew that , all he had to do was to get to his feet to hear the final bell, and win it on points.

The long delay was the completion of the count , but all in all , Bute was back on his feet inside anybody's 10-count .

Andrade's corner rushed out and got a bit aggro with the ref , shoving him around the ring for a while.

The thing was though , if there had been another minute left in the round , the ref would have just called it off, as bute was literally out on his feet.

He did make the 10-count and he did last the distance , but was left in no possible condition to continue fighting.

May have been even more contraversial if it didnt go the hometown decision !!!

He was deffinately up inside 10 but if it hadn't have been the last round there is no doubt the fight would have been stopped.
