im just wondering how many people will actually take to the streets next wednesday to voice their concerns about the changes to education brought in by the budget?

I'm going and there are busses organised for parents, students, SNAs and teachers from our corner. Lots of other teachers I've been on to are heading as well. With the INTO, ASTI, TUI, parents and students involved, it should be huge. There's a lot of anger and frustration out there.

DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING!

If I was in the country I'd be going, but I'm spending part of my mid-term break at some military museums in the UK taking photos to use with my classes.

    That's teaching for you.

I would but am booked into hospital for a procedure Tues and have been told to rest so travelling across the country probably isn't the best idea. Hear there's one organised for those who can't travel in Galway though so might pop to that one.

    thanks Trotter :D

hopefully there will be a good turn out to show our dissatisfaction and general no confidence in the government.

Going myself with a few more teachers ....see you all there!
