Bank Holiday Entitlements?

I work full time on a set salary and I've been with my company for seven months.

It just occurred to me that full-time staff are legally entitled to just work four days in the week of a bank holiday or else get double time for one of their five days? At least, I think it's the law?

Even though I don't work Mondays (so never work on an actual bank holiday, which is why it never really occured to me before now)), my work schedule, and pay, stays the same whenever there is a bank holiday.

Am I correct in saying that I can go to HR/Wages and point out that there have been about four bank holidays since I started with them and they now owe me four days, whether in pay or holidays or whatever?

    Thanks!

you seem to answer your own question here. your pay stays the same when there is a bank holiday means you are getting paid, as you are only working for four days yet are getting paid for five.

Doh, mis-read your post. if you normally have Mondays off you are entitlted to an extra day holiday for each back holiday, so ask about how many holidays you have left as they may be crediting you with an extra day for each bank holiday and you just don't know about it.

    That is incorrect.

You are entitled to 1/5 of your weekly pay.
They could say that this is included in your annual salary already ?

If this is in your salary, it would have to be detailed in your contract with relation to the 1997 working time directive.
