Sofa, so good

I'm shopping for a couch - what I want is something one can stretch out on, in soft, buttery leather, warm and cuddly, with a high enough back and armrests and enough cushions.

But I really have no idea about things like stuffing and leather quality. Went to Arnott's and there was a sea of sofas in their bargain sale, but nothing so wonderful you wouldn't get up if you sat down.

Where's the absolute best place to look for sofas? And what's the most important thing to look for when you're buying?
