Does anyone remember Caramac bars? They were 'caramel flavoured' chocolate bars and we used to get one once a week as our 'Sunday treat' (this was back in the day when you got one treat per week!) We used to think they were the business, although i'm sure they're beyond disgusting in reality (we were easily pleased in those days!) Well, just found out thanks to another Boards thread taht you can still get them... http://www.aquarterof.co.uk Would it be wrong to pay £4.35 in postage to get 5 Caramac bars for nostalgas sake?

Actually this has brought back terrible memories of my Father buying the required number of Caramac bars, finding that he had been given one extra as two had stuck together and then being so honest, he brought it back to the shop ignoring the howls of protest from the back seat of the car!

Yeah think you can get still get them. They were in the sweet machine where I worked 2yrs ago.I have very divided feelings on Caramacs. If I'm eating them thinking they're a type of white chocolate (yuck!) with caramel flavouring I don't like them, however if I imagine they're a type of fudgy bar, I do..That's odd isn't it?

Caramac's were the business. Wish they were advertised by the foxy-voiced-temptress who did the voice-over for the flake ad's. That was pre-pubescent aural porn.

I see them sometime. Horrible sickly bars but they've obviously got their fans :D

My Nan used to buy these by the box (throwback to the days when she lived in India and had to get everything imported from home). Every month she'd give a box to my brother and myself when we'd go to see her. Of course, being young, we'd GORGE our faces on them (not a pretty sight) so much so that in the end I couldn't look a Caramac in the eye for love nor money.

I saw some a few weeks back in a sweet shop in UK and bought a few bars for nostalgia's sake, and to let my own two lads try them. They liked them Ok but they just brought back waves of nausea to me. Having said that, they are not the same as they were 40 years ago (what is?)

I won't be repeating the experience. If I could find a Cadbury's Aztec bar however, I'd be made up.
