My partner recently bought some hugg boots same as in your link for £65 on ebay from a uk agent .They arrived about a week later as described .A lot of the far east and chinese ebay sellers have a dodgy reputation .Would stick to a seller nearer to home imo

    Dodgy as in what way?

If you get them and they do turn out to be fake then say they never arrived. It's the best way to get your credit card company to issue a chargeback.

They look real to me. I have a pair the colour of the first pair, and the are the exact same, and i bought mine in a store.

    Hi
    I ordered a pair from TradeTang.com
They came about 2 weeks later...i think the total including ship was 75€.
They are lovely and look real - are not tho - not real sheepskin and i only realised that the description was faux sheepskin - but for that value and Ugg tag on them they are great (and comfy and warm and pretty)

so just be aware that if you're paying less its because its not sheepskin

You know what, I dont think I would mind about the sheepskins presence too much. What bothers me is the slant on the boot? See here...

    653b_2.JPG

"The picture below shows one example of a FAKE UGG Australia Boots (Deckers). On the authentic boot, there are no pinned on labels that say "UGG". From a visual perspective, the biggest clue to a fake is often the fact that the slope to the toe is very pointed rather than a gentle curve."

Fake sellers will use real photos on ebay. If it's that hard to tell them as fakes when you have them in your hand then no one else will know they are fakes. You might not get as long out of them. Personally I would never buy something like this from an ebay store. Too easy to get ripped off. That's why they sell them on ebay. And ebay don't care about you getting fake goods as long as they get their commision.

    first ones are fake.

this seller is registered since June 08 and only has 14 comments. even though they are all postives, the fact that he is new and selling big quantities of brand items (without tags/receipts/serial numbers) scream fake to me :(

Im not sure if your aware, but even genuine sellers on ebay are hit with limits on how many designer items they can list at a certain time.

Please please do not buy from Hong Kong unless you are willing to except the chance that it is fake

Uggs are one of the brands that casue the most copyright issues on eBay.

In my opinion with Uggs, stay with Irish/ uk sellers casue you are never ever going to get a real pair of Uggs on ebay for less then €70/80

    Dodgy as in what way?
Well dodgy in the sense that as an ebay buyer/seller for quite a few years ,i have noticed that a lot of bad feedback on ebay recently has being about goods bought and paid for in the far east .I am sure there are thousends of genuine sellers from that region and might be just coincidence .Feedback is the your best guide on any seller anywere .

I would doubt Irish /Uk sellers too though as i would question where they got them from.Anybody can buy fakes on ioffer and resell them.I know of one seller in the uk who claims that all her uggs are authentic but she is buying them from another seller in hk.
The best place to get them is from a reputable online store there are loads around if you do a search. :)
Another thing is the word ugg, anybody can claim that particular style of boot to be authentic which it is, but the majority of people will be looking for Ugg Australia boots.
I would never buy from a seller who uses stock photos. You need to see exactly what you are buying.

if your buying ugg boots from hongkong they are 10000005 counterfeit trust me. but some counterfeit are very good quality

i meant to add.. probly the only place on eBay you are 100% guaranteed to get what you want shoe/boots wise is the official Schuh store.

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Schuh-Branded-Shoes-Online

not alot of people know they put all of their sale stock on there as they are trying to get out of having sales instore.

    wooohoo says me!

First things first....you can never be sure that what you are buying is what you are seeing in the picture, ok?

Also, all of that stuff that comes from china is generally fake, but they tend to be better fakes than the stuff you get here, imo.

Guys, your opinions are all deadly.

I kind of did and good/slash bad thing. I logged into my paypal account, the seller hadn't taken the money for the fakes, so I cancelled it.

I've never cancelled on a seller before, didnt know you could do that, but anyway, crisis averted!

One angry Hong Kong man remains!

Good idea! I find it so hard to trust anything off ebay these days.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,217 ✭✭✭FX Meister

Just be prepared for him to file a non paying bidder thing, he has to do that to get his sellers fees refunded.

    Great news for Ugg lovers!!!

I was just in TK Maxx and to my delight they stock the Ugg Australia boots!!!
They have the Classic Tall ones for €199, they're €290 in Schuh!!!
They have them in beige, tan, brown and black!!!
I got the beige ones and I love them already!

They have the shorter ones too, don't know how much they were.

They have other Uggs also for about €70 but they're not the "real" ones and aren't made of sheepskin.

    They're lovely!
When people say "genuine Uggs" or "real Uggs" they generally mean the Ugg Australia brand, made by Deckers, which are made in China. These are the "designer" ones, hence a lot of fakes on eBay with the Ugg Australia logo and box.
The name "Ugg" is a generic term for these sheepskin boots originally from Australia.

Unprofessional website (bad spelling and grammar) and hotmail address are a warning signs. I'd stay clear.
All returns must be requested within 48 hours after receiving the items, you may contact return uggoffer@hotmail.com to request return, pls write return at email titile.

Also, if you click on the verification signs for paypal, etc, it doesn't do anything. Sure fake.

Thanks, jus a lil' question are the sizes listed American or European sizes? Im a UK7!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 791 ✭✭✭viv2

The sizes would be US sizes,im a uk 5 and i take a US 7 in the ultimate and classic uggs.
If you order from them make sure they use usps to deliver them, i cant remember how much postage was when i bought from them though it was last year when i got my uggs from them.
