Tuesday night, myself and a fellow worker had been out on the batter after work. We went along to a club downstairs on SWS, beforehand had picked up with two nice Spanish girls.

My fellow worker who is Spanish had no problem talking to them etc....

But along we come to this place anyway which I am sure you all know down the stairs.

We were told it was €6 each in. Grand, €24. My mate hands 50 and walks down the stairs, a little drunk no doubt.
I waited for the change, not that I was keeping it. fs like we were out on the batter together. This blonde stuck up dittsy cu,nt, looks at me. I said the change.... she says what change. I told her she knew well my friend gave her a fifty. she said it was his to collect. I insisted she give it to me. I am then told I will get the bouncer for you.

I will get the fcuking bouncer!!?? This thieving b,astard.

I said get the bouncer. He comes along, wasn't the worse, I explained to him she'd stroked 26 and I wanted it. My friend came back out and said what was wrong, I told him about his change. The bouncer then turned and said well you can have your money back but you have to leave.

Talk about a complete and absolute bollox.

Catch 22, we were chasing the girls so my mate said **** it come on in.

One of the reasons why Dublin, by a massive majority, is a complete kip to go partying in!!

Believe it or not but all the girls that work the desk in a club have not yet been equipped with those magic goggles that show her exactly who is best friends with who. Your friend was stupid to wander off without his change.

believe it or not it was blatantly clear we were together as they sit at the top of the stairs and there were four of us. It's not too busy on a tuesday.

Quite a feeble statement on your behalf considering you must have read the first few lines and jumped in.

meh, people that stupid or that drunk deserve to be parted from their money.

that's fair enough given they were left alone and their friend didn't help out. however the bullying tactics used by this thieving fcuker is just typical of a lot of clubs in Dublin.

was my first time in there and last.

Its sh!te like this that stopped me going to clubs any more. Its always one bad buzz after another. Id rather just go out to a pub with a few mates and have the craic that way instead of being deafened by ****e R&B music all night, not being able to talk to anyone because of it, losing my mates in the crowd, having some toe-rag pick a fight with me and being stripped of my hard earned cash both at the door and the bar. I'm sorry but I used to do it, but the novelty really wore off for me. Anyway the class of girl I was meeting in these places was usually pretty poor. To actually go up and talk to a girl in a pub is a dying art and the success rate is much higher. Just my 2 cents anyway! Been there, done that, dropped my kebab all down the front of the t-shirt.

I don't frequent the club your on about and now i can see why, usually full of stuck up D4 muppets and if that's the way they treat their customers i certainly wont ever be going there, name and shame the club mate, this is shocking behaviour, Dublin clubs for the most part are dreadful thesedays.

As some one who's never been out in Dublin I can't say very much about the club in question but can objectionally say that your mate was a bit barmy to stroll off like he did, then again the power trip that comes to bouncers and indeed people taking money can lead to a bit of a sly tactic. Did she make a mistake or steal it, hard to say. Your mate was the initial cause of it though.

The fact that its unnecessary is what makes it so much fun.

    For me.
    And that's all that matters.

Amen. I really think it's gone completely to the dogs with the exception of one place and one place only.

she stole it. we were standing together, anyone who knows the kip, they were sitting right at the top of the stairs and sure what kind of response was it then to be given the ultimatum of money back and leave or just take it you're being robbed after my friend had returned?

as far as it being my friend's fault, is it the case that if you make an honest mistake you are robbed by 'professional business establishments'? Is that the kind of customer service warranted? It's completely unacceptable but widespread nonetheless I'm sure.

It used to be a class place on Wed nights, with a good crowd, but over the last year an influx of D4s have gradually taken over it. Not the same buzz there at all anymore.

While drinks prices ae undoubtedly overpriced in the club youre talking about, its a great spot, Dublins dance musci scene would be worse off without th plac man

regardless of the crowd, they still get the best guests man

And when the bigger guests play, the D4s tend to be less present.

I'm confused, does this place in question begin with a W?

So whats your issue then? Surely just avoid the student nights? I've seen Damian Lazarus, James Holden, Gui Boratto, MSTRKRFT there to name a few in the past few months. Yes, it can be hotter than a muthafuucka in there, but good guests + a function one is surely not to be looked down upon!

I'm a student, I used to like heading there on a Wednesday night for some cheap drinks, good crowd and good music.

Bit of a shameless plug as I've a hand in it but you really might like Tetric on Wednesday in the Button Factory has the same kind of music but without the same kind of clientel you get in such abundance wherever it is you're talking about by the sounds of things. Definitely worth having a look if that's the kind of music you like. It's a good party atmosphere every week and the music is kept fresh so you won't just hear all the tunes you're used to from a year ago. And of course it's cheap entry and drinks to cater for mid week clubbers.

Have a look. If you don't like it the most you're down is a fiver :D

Yup, Tetric's where I head these days for an electro house night. Arcs of Triumph are great residents. Good night.
