Does anyone know whether this amp will work for NTL connections in Dublin.

I was told to get a 12V amplifier and bought this one but not sure if it's the right one or not. It says 12V output but it's 240V supply. Not sure if this is sufficient or do I need a amp that is powered by a 12V power adapter rather than mains.

    Thanks.

It won't amplify all the frequencies you need it only goes to 230Mhz. Depending if you have band I or not you may need an amp that goes to about 550Mhz ish if I remember correctly.

You need a cable amplifier. There are too many channels for regular TV aerial amplfiers or booster / 4 way / 6way/8way amps.

That should do the job for you.

Thanks for that crookesa, I've been using a Labgear 8 way for several years now and while it works fine on the high frequencies it picks up some noise on the lower ones. Anyway 2 of the outputs are blown now and I need to replace it and would be interested in hearing how you get on with the Global F180, assuming you go with it. Good luck.
