All kicks off at the weekend with England V PNG on Saturday at 9:55. (on Sky). Pick of the weekend will definitely be OZ v NZ on Sunday at 8:55. Should be a massive game. Interestingly though, Scotland V France on Sunday eve should be a really intriguing match-up. France probably fancy their chances with their Catalans laden team but Brough's Scots may well give them a shock. I'm putting a few shekels on the tartan terrors....

We're not up until Monday morning V Tonga who were handed a mauling by the kiwis in a warm up game last weekend, so we can expect a backlash....

Opening Weekend Fixtures. (all on sky)

    Saturday, 25 October 2008
England v Papua New Guinea, 9:55 am

    Sunday, 26 October 2008
Australia v New Zealand, 8:55 am
    Scotland v France, 6:25 am

    Monday, 27 October 2008
    Tonga v Ireland, 7:55 am

Go PNG!! brilliant stuff thus far...eng 12 PNG 16 at half time, playing like demons. The ultimate f**k you to the WC organisers who totally shafted them by sticking them in a group with Eng, NZ and Oz..I'm sure stanley Gene has the power of Bi-location

Just an idea, would seperate match threads be a good idea?

People could posts scores and stuff without needing spoiler tags, Mark the thread *SPOILERS INSIDE* at the top. IT works well on the Union and Soccer forums.

Anyone who has the game recorded to watch later can avoid the thread until they've watch the game
